Today is the memorable day for the Indian sports fans. First Team India won against Australia in the Mohali Cricket test match and other Indians athletes secured five gold medal in Commonwealth Games 2010.On Tuesday morning Indian shooters Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narag won first gold medal in men’s 10m air rifle pair event at the 19th Commonwealth games. Women shooters Rahi Sarnobat and Anisa Sayeed won second gold for the country in pairs 25m pistol event.
Next was Ravinder Singh, who begged India’s first gold medal in wrestling in the 60kg Greco-Roman style event. Sanjay Kumar earned fourth gold in total and second gold medal in wrestling in the 74kg Greco-Roman style event.
The day ends with Wrestler Anil Kumar gold medal. He won a gold medal in the 96 kilogram category of men’s wrestling final match, played at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex here on Tuesday evening.
Earlier, in Mohali, India won by one wicket against Australia in the first cricket test match in the Gavaskar Border trophy. VVS Laxman and Ishant Sharma played a great inning and won in the nail biting match.
